When you get your Christmas lights out after a year in storage, check them over to make sure they are in good condition with no loose wires. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions. If you need to replace a bulb only use one of the same type and rating as the ones originally supplied. Switch your lights off when you go out or go to bed. Never use lights outdoors unless they are designed for outdoor use. Don't overload sockets.
