No, it's not a legal requirement but it is a good way for you to prove to a potential buyer that the mobile home is electrically safe and a good investment.
If you are renting the home out, appliances provided all have to have an up-to-date Portable Appliance Test (PAT). There is currently no legal requirement for any other testing, but it’s our advice to have the electrical installation checked at least every three to five years so that you know your guests are safe.
