A company has installed two storage heaters rated at 2680 watt each on my socket ringmain They have connected a socket to a 20amp switch for both units. Is this safe?

Storage heaters are often supplied via their own circuit and sometimes on a separate tariff. They are generally connected via a 13 A fused connection unit rather than a plug and socket (the manufacturer's instructions should state the connection method).

If you have concerns, you should speak to the company that installed the heaters to ask for clarification – and check that they used a registered electrician for the work.
