Can I use a socket in my kitchen to supply my garden equipment?

Left double quote

Yes, providing it is protected by an RCD.

If a socket in the kitchen, or anywhere else in the house is likely to be used to supply portable equipment outdoors, it should be protected by an RCD.

If you don't have one in your fusebox, you can buy a plug-in RCD from any DIY store. Never use switches or any electrical equipment when your hands are wet.
