Do I need an EICR for my holiday let? If I have one and it fails with a C2, do I need to get it fixed?

While not legally required in most of the UK we strongly recommend having 5-yearly EICRs carried out, with any further investigation or remedial work done as soon as possible

While not legally required in most of the UK we strongly recommend having 5-yearly EICRs carried out, with any further investigation or remedial work done as soon as possible.

However, if your holiday let is based in Scotland you are required to to correct a C2 fault ideally within 28 days.

You can find an electrician local to you here.
