I’m buying a flat, should I get an Electrical Installation Condition Report before I go ahead?

There is no legal requirement to have an inspection of the electrical installation carried out before purchasing a property but it is a good idea if you have any concerns about the state of the electrics, or just for your own peace of mind

There is no legal requirement to have an inspection of the electrical installation carried out before purchasing a property but it is a good idea if you have any concerns about the state of the electrics, or just for your own peace of mind.  If any hazards are identified this can also help you when negotiating on price.

You can find an electrician local to you here.
