If I have an EIC to BS7671 do I also need a guarantee from the electrician, my interpretation of the regulations is the EIC is classed as a guarantee of work for 6 years. Is that correct? Thank you?

An Electrical Installation Certificate is not a guarantee and does not have a time period attached to it.

The EIC is a declaration that the new installation, or alteration or addition, is safe to use at the time it was put into service.
