My house has recently been rewired. The previous sockets and a light switch have been replaced and are now 30cm and 130m above ground level. Is this correct?

Left double quote

Part M of the Building Regulations states that in new buildings, switches and sockets should be located (centre line) between 45cm and 120cm above floor level

Part M of the Building Regulations states that in new buildings, switches and sockets should be located (centre line) between 45cm and 120cm above floor level. However, for existing buildings the heights only have to be located in a position that is no worse than the rest of the house, not necessarily following Part M.

If you are having your house rewired, you should always use a registered electrician. You can find one in your area here.
