Notifiable work is anything that is covered by Part P of the Building Regulations. The registered electrician who carries out the work will issue the relevant certification, usually an Electrical Installation Certificate or Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate. The electrician can advise you as to which certificate is relevant.
This should not be confused with an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) which is the report that is issued after a periodic inspection and test of an electrical installation.
You can find a registered electrician local to you here.
