You Wouldn't Trust...

08 May 2018

Would you consider hiring an unregistered electrician in order to save as little as £50?

Shockingly, we found that almost 1/3 of people in the UK would. It made us think - if we wouldn't trust an unqualified dentist with our teeth, why are we trusting an unregistered electrician with our home?

Trying to save money by cutting corners can also backfire, with over 30% of us having to pay to fix poor quality electrical work. The average repair bill is £750 - that's a staggering £2.4 billion spent correcting substandard work across the UK. Is it really worth the risk?

Electrical work is one of the most dangerous tasks to undertake in the home. By hiring someone who isn’t completely up to the job, the results can be catastrophic.

Our message is simple. Always use a registered electrician.

We decided to create a series of short videos showing just how dodgy other professions seem when they aren't fully trained and qualified. You certainly wouldn't trust any of these people to take care of your health, safety or beloved pet - so why should an electrician be any different?

Behind The Scenes

We had a great time shooting with our dodgy not-so-professionals! Don't worry, none of these people are actually what they claimed to be...
