Is it currently a legal requirement that all rented properties in Scotland (regardless of age), require to be fitted/retrofitted with an RCD to pass an EICR inspection?

It is not currently a legal requirement for rented properties in Scotland to have RCD protection built into the fusebox, but this is expected to become law in 2024, when RCDs will have to be fitted

It is likely that if you are adding RCD protection to your fusebox you will need a new one. Always use a registered electrician for this work. You can find one local to you here.
