Our set of Best Practice Guides give expert advice and information on all the technical issues involved in electrical installation work.
And we provide technical guidance on how to apply BS 7671 (as amended) Requirements for electrical installations. This guidance has been discussed and agreed by the Wiring Regulations Advisory Group (WRAG).
This section also includes answers to the questions that our expert team are most commonly asked, and information about neutral current diversion, a growing issue in the electrical industry that we are researching and we need your help with.
Who we work with
- We represent consumer interests on standards-setting committees responsible for British, European and international standards, including the committee responsible for the IET Wiring Regulations.
- We are secretariate for the working groups responsible for creation of our Best Practice Guides and the Wiring Regulations Advisory Group (WRAG), which publish guidance to common technical questions relating to BS 7671.
- We also work closely with the technical committees of the ECA, NICEIC and BEAMA industry bodies.
