The product presents a high risk of electric shock as it failed the electric strength test. The insulation broke down when the 3000 V test voltage was applied between the live input and the LED strip. The appliance was fitted with a non-UK plug and the non-UK plug fitted to the equipment had not been correctly fitted with a compatible conversion plug. The instructions were also considered to be inadequate as they did not contain sufficient information to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
