The product has been identified as presenting a serious risk of electric shock as there was inadequate insulation within the plug and wiring of the product, which could degrade over time and expose live wires. If a user touches the live wire, they could receive an electric shock.
The product’s plug also did not meet the dimensional requirements of the relevant standard, presenting a risk of electric shock. The product required improvements to markings, labelling and documentation.
