Wall plug operated LED string lights.
The product presents a serious risk of fire as the conductors are too thin and offer little to no protection from overheating under fault conditions. The poor conductors may overheat, and the cables could catch fire. The fuse had not been supplied with any granular filler. The filler is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions. In addition, the chain was fitted with a non-UK plug that had been fitted with a conversion plug.
The conversion plug did not comply with BS1363-5. The product does not meet the
requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
