The product presents a high risk of fire as the transformer was of a poor build quality and did not meet creepage and clearance requirements. Under fault conditions, this can cause the product to become live and/or overheat, causing a fire. The plug supplied also did not meet the dimensional requirements of the relevant standard, which can allow access to live parts when plugging in, or unplugging, the plug from the socket Some of the required documentation and markings were not present.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
