The product poses a risk of electric shock because:<br /><br /><ul><li>the lamp and the cover can be removed whilst the nightlight is inserted into a socket outlet;</li><li>the insulation is inadequate as the creepage distances between live parts and the external enclosure is not sufficient;</li><li>there is no provision for a fuse, required to provide the nightlight with overcurrent protection.</li></ul><br />The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
