The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the plug pins on the device were not compatible with socket outlets conforming to the relevant standard, BS 1363. The plug pins had a distinct step between two different parts of the pins that could cause damage to the socket over time. This could lead the plug pins to wear down the socket connectors and damage the socket, leaving the user exposed to an electric shock hazard. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
