Long white ceiling light supplied in brown cardboard packaging.
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the requirements for class II construction had not been met. There was no mention for the need of the installer to provide supplementary insulation in the instructions. An incorrect installation could leave metal parts separated from live parts only by basic insulation, posing an electric shock hazard to the user. The LED driver also failed the electric strength test. It allowed a flash over when the test voltage was applied between the input and output circuits.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
