Ultrasonic cleaner, primarily for cleaning jewellery. A digital panel is on the product which enables it to be programmed for different set temperatures and amounts of time.
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the earthing arrangement on the appliance is inadequate as the earth wire is too small. The fuse did not comply with BS1362 as it had not been supplied with any granular filler. The filler is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions. This could give an electric shock to the consumer when touching the metal parts of the product.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
