Vevor Welding Machine MIG-200D3

Details

Blue welding machine with black power supply cord and plug.

The product presents a high risk of burns, fire and explosion as the earthing arrangements were insufficient to protect the user. The fuse had been modified with wire soldered to the outside of the casing, bypassing the fuse’s protective function and removing over-current protection. Under fault conditions, the plug could overheat, ignite and explode, causing a fire and burns to the user and persons nearby. The PCB tracks had also been modified using solder to increase the current carrying capacity.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
