A four-compartment plug-in battery charger stated to be suitable for 3.6 volt or 3.7-volt lithium batteries.
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the conductor contact of the supply cord is too close to the engagement face of the connector. The fuse does not meet the dimensional requirements of the relevant standard (BS1362), the endcaps were insecurely fixed (push-on) and the fused contained no granular filler (required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions). The plug itself is considered to be counterfeit and did not comply with the relevant standard (BS1363-1).
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the Plugs and Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
