Floor Standing Halogen Uplighter Recall

The problem relates to inadequate insulation on the internal wiring. In extreme circumstances contact between the wiring and the external surface of the light could create a risk of electric shock to the user. No accidents have been reported.


The Home Retail Group has recalled the Floor Standing Halogen Uplighter in its Homebase and Argos outlets.

If you have bought one of these lamps between 1 January 2007 and 10 September 2008, stop using it immediately. Electrical Safety First recommends that anyone who discovers they have an electrical item that has been recalled should stop using it until it has been checked by the manufacturer.
