The product presents a risk of electric shock as the creepage and clearance distances between live wires were insufficient. The product also presents a risk of fire as it was inadequately earthed, with a counterfeit fuse that could not provide the required protection under fault conditions. The battery also does not meet the capacity requirements of the relevant standard. The product requires improvement to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
