The product poses a risk of electric shock because: - live pins can be exposed when the adaptor is plugged into a socket; - the shutters for the socket apertures can be operated by a single pin; - the adaptor has no provision for earthing and is not fused. The product does not comply with the relevant national standard BS 1363.
