We are voluntarily recalling the Acoustimass® module in the Bose CineMate GS Series II and Bose CineMate Series II systems from countries where the voltage from the mains power socket is 220 volts or higher. If you purchased a Bose CineMate GS Series II or CineMate Series II system before 12 September 2012 and are using it in a country where the mains power socket voltage is 220 or higher, your system is included in this action. This is because a component in the Acoustimass module could fail and present a potential fire hazard when operated at these voltages.

Contact [Bose/distributor] by visiting www.bose.eu/safety or call us directly at 0800 098 8519 to confirm your system is included in the recall and for instructions on how to return your Acoustimass module. We will repair or replace your Acoustimass module free of charge.
Electrical Safety First recommends that anyone who discovers they have an electrical item that has been recalled should stop using it until it has been checked by the manufacturer.
