The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the protection from access to live parts is inadequate due to poor insulation. Therefore, if the earthing were to wear down, it could easily cause an electric shock to the consumer if they were to touch metal parts of the product that were live. The sample had not been supplied with a clear, understandable, and intelligible set of instructions to ensure the safe and correct assembly, installation, use and maintenance of the equipment.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
